- On SoundCaster, disable any inputs that are not being used: this enables better Performer connections, extends battery life of Performers and Director, while simplifying mixing.
- Use a tri-band router so that Performers can be spread across two 5GHz channels
- In addition to helping musicians distinguish instrument from each other in their mixes, panning instruments left or right can help provide a more natural sound.
- Finding an unused Wi-Fi channel: Wi-Fi scanning software, Wi-Fi diagnostics (comes with macOS), alt-click on Mac Wi-Fi control and hover over each SSID to see details.
- Configure Wi-Fi with a password (WPA-2 security) to prevent unwanted connections and/or snooping.
